Fresh-faced and viewing the world as our oyster, we began as fourteen graduates from Queen's University B.Ed Class of 2014. After graduating from Queen's, we decided to try something new. We packed our bags, picked up our Visas, and moved to a new place. A new home. And most importantly, to a new school - abroad.
14beds is a collaborative blog that is written, curated and edited by new teachers working around the world. Starting in September 2015, it will include 14 members from both the Queen's University B.Ed Class of 2014 and 2015. Our contributors' locations range from Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
This blog serves as a reflection on personal and professional life abroad, allowing us to share and connect over our common yet diverse experiences. Moreover, we hope it will serve as a resource to educators considering careers abroad.
On this site, you will find a collection of personal journal entries, photos and comparative essays regarding living and teaching abroad.
